Relaxing Milk Bath
Makes 2 cups, enough for 6-8 baths
Ingredients:
1/2 cup powdered goats milk
1/2 cup powdered buttermilk
1/4 cup powdered(finely ground)lavender buds
1/8 cup powdered (finely ground) rose petals
1/2 cup finely ground oatmeal
Mix together all the ingredients with a wire whisk and pour into a airtight jar or re-sealable plastic bag.
Directions for use: Pour 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of the bath powder in tub as you add hot water
Soothing Milk Bath
Makes 5 cups (enough for 8-10 baths)
Softens bath water while adding fragrance and emoillent oil
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp goatsmilk powder
2 Cups powdered milk
1 Cup cornstarch
1 Cup finely ground oatmeal
1 Cup Epsom salts
1 Tsp FO/EO
1 Tsp light oil such as sunflower, grapeseed, sweet almond or apricot oil
Instructions:
In a large bowl combine FO/EO and oil. Add other ingredients and mix well.
To USE: pour or scoop out desired amount (this depends on personal preference and the size of your tub), usually about 1/2 cup, add to bath under running water, swirling with your hand to mix. Store in airtight jar or resealable baggie.
Herbal Milk Bath
( makes 2 cups, enough for 4 baths)
1 cup Cornstarch
1 cup Dry Milk Powder
2 teaspoons of your Favorite Herbs
Combine ingredients in food processor or blender. Add herbs and blend
Directions for use: Add 1/2cup of mixture to hot bath water
Chocolate Ice Cream Bath Fizzies
A real treat for chocolate lovers
Ingredients:1/4 cup citric acid (this is what makes them fizz)
1/4 cup corn starch
2 Tbs cocoa powder
7 Tbs coconut oil melted
Instructions:
Mix dry ingredients, melt coconut oil and drizzle over dry ingredients and mix. Using icecream scoop, make 3 scoops and unmold them onto waxed paper and allow to dry 2-3days. Fun to package in pretty plastic parfait dish for those chocolate ice cream lovers out there.
Bubble Milk Bath
1 Cup Powdered Milk or powdered buttermilk
1/2 cup Oatmeal
1 Cup Baking Soda
4 Tablespoons Corn Starch
2 Tablespoons Cream of Tartar
1/4 cup Handcrafted Soap(cut in chunks)
Optional: fragrance with 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon essential or fragrance oil as desired.
Use a food processor, add chunked handcrafted soap and oatmeal until grainy. Add powdered milk, baking soda, corn starch and cream of tartar .
Add fragrance and process until it's powdery. Store in airtight glass jar or resealable baggie.
Directions for use: Use 1/4 cup per bath, add to running hot water.
